Welcome to LUCA: A New Chapter for Latino Professionals

When you move to a new country, you carry more than just luggage—you carry stories, knowledge, degrees, experience, and dreams. At LUCA Foundation, we see all of that. And we’re here to say: you didn’t leave your career behind—you just need a new way forward.

LUCA stands for Latinos United for Career Advancement, and this foundation was born from a deeply personal truth: too many skilled Latino professionals arrive in the U.S. with everything it takes to succeed, except access to the right information. We believe information opens doors—and every door matters when you’re trying to rebuild your professional path in a new land.

Our mission is simple but powerful:
To guide, inform, and uplift Latino professionals so they can reconnect with their careers, transfer their skills, and thrive with dignity and purpose.

LUCA exists because we’ve lived this. We know what it feels like to be a teacher, a nurse, an engineer—or a journalist—and suddenly become “unqualified” on paper. We know the frustration of seeing your potential overlooked simply because you don’t know the right steps, the right terms, or the right questions to ask.

That’s why LUCA offers:

  • Bilingual career workshops to help you understand the U.S. system
  • Resources and guides to validate your degree and find real opportunities
  • Informational tools to build your resume, LinkedIn profile, and job search strategy
  • Connection to local programs that already exist, but you might not know about
  • And most of all, a reminder: you are not starting from scratch.

This is your second chance—but not just any second chance.
This time, it’s at a professional level.

So welcome. We’re so glad you’re here. LUCA is not just an organization—it’s a movement, a home, and a bridge built by and for people like you.

Let’s turn information into opportunity, together.
